PTSO provides students, teachers, and staff with additional benefits that help to make AK a great place to learn and work! The PTSO is the only organization focused on bringing in monies to support ALL AK faculty, staff, and students, including $1,000 scholarships for seniors, fund traffic officers at arrival and dismissal times, supplemental materials for classrooms, supplemental funds for SGA and other student events/activities and supplemental funds for AK teacher luncheons and service recognitions.

PTSO membership allows you to support the PTSO mission in ways that align with your and your family’s interest and availability. Involvement may include solely financial support through dues payment, discretionary financial donations (see donation levels set out below), and employer matching donations, or also include involvement through board/committee positions, monthly PTSO meeting attendance, and/or volunteer opportunities for PTSO events such as the Pretzel Sale and Teacher Luncheons. All forms of support are greatly appreciated!

Note: If you have a Senior and they are thinking about applying for one of the $1,000 scholarships, PTSO Family Membership is required.

Your additional $25 donation helps fund the traffic officers at the school entrances for arrival and dismissal times. 

Each school year, the PTSO strives to offer $1,000 scholarships for up to 10 Seniors of families who are PTSO members. Your additional $50 donation helps fund these scholarships.

Senior Signs will begin distribution the week of August 15.  You must show a copy of your paid transaction when picking up from the AK front office.
